Default Navigation System

Howdy guys. I just bought a 07 tc to drive back and forth to work since i was droppin bout $500 a month in gas on my truck. I was wanting to put a navigation system in the the car. Id like for the audio controls in the steering wheel to still be able to work. I dont really to care to have and i wont use features like DVD player, PS2, IPOD, MP3 and all that stuff. Text to speech would be nice, but i live out in the country so most of our roads arent named so that feature isnt really that important to me. It would be cool to find something that is plug and play if at all possible so it wont void my warranty. ( According to my dealer, any cut of a wire ,even an aftermarket radio install will void my upgraded 6yr 75000 mile warranty) All I really want is a unit to get me from point A to B accurately, that can play a regular CD and has a radio. Does anything like this exist or am stuck paying for all the features that i wont use.

two things:

a) your dealer is full of sh*t, theres more to it than that

b) why not just get a portable unit: check out some Garmin products. They're much cheaper than an indash GPS system.

Eclipse AVN series head unit uses most of the factory harnesses and plug straight into the factory steering wheel control. but Eclipse is a little pricey and has most of the options you said you didn't need...haha

Thanks guys, I've never thought about a portable unit, that would be a hell of a lot cheaper though not as cool as an in dash. but that would give more the features I want and I can swap it out between car and truck. But those eclipse units sure do look nice too. I'll do a lil bit of research and let ya guys know what I decide.
