Default need sub advice for eD side mount

hi, i just got a eD sidemount box and was wondering if there was a better sub out the (compaired to the 10" eD).
if you know this box then you know its not very deep. i'm looking for something that hits hard (for a 10, lol) and is efficent in the little air space that it has. thank you.

whats the mounting depth? I know JL Audio is comming out with a slimline sub in the Fall. Should be pretty good? I know with a limited space you wont get much.

look into Image Dynamics. You can find them at sounddomain.com
GRAET subs for small spaces. ...they maybe to deep though =/

other than that look into the new Rockford Slim sub. I t runs about $249

How much wattage do you have ?

it was a nine.4 w/ 2 of the channels bridged the other two channels were going to the front components. so they were getting around 250 or so

I have a SQ10 in the side mount box in my car. It hits plenty hard for me. Like nebster said, it's not spl loud, but it is fits the music very nicely in my car. It is enough to vibrate the seats slightly and it reveals a few rattles. It doesn't feel like you are getting beat in the chest by any means. It fills the car with plenty of bass in my opinion. I'm only pushing around 200-220 watts to mine at max with my amp. If you are wanting something to show off how loud it can get so people a block away can hear you then this sub is not for you, nor is a side mount enclosure. You will need to go bigger for that. For me it sounds clean, keeps up with any music i throw at it and i am happy.

i trust all 3 of these but i have no first hand experience with eD, i do with pioneer and sony tho. which one do you guys think will get me the most bang for my buck?
thanks.

the box was made for a eD sq10. that is what you'll get the best performance out of plus its the most economical with the warranty you get out of it.

questions...

what amp you planning on running with it??
will you run everything off of the stock h/u, or something after market??

i'm running the ed side mount with a sq10 and a ed nine2 amp, bridged, putting about 600w to the sub from the stock head unit. (no worries, the gain from the amp is turned waaaay down)

i like the sound, a lot, but 'like' is always an opinion, or preference. in the end, it depends on what you want from your sound system. i listen to a lot of dub (the reggae flavor) and roots rock. the sub hits plenty hard, fills the cabin very nicely, and makes my friends w/o a sub woofer very jealous. yet, i already have plans for the next stage: 2 sets of ed's 6500v2's to replace the front and rear components, a nine4 to power them, and a replacement h/u. why? 'cause i love music , and i can.

i can recommend the sub and box (and their amp!) highly, but to keep everything in perspective, the system has its limitations.

jus' my dribble.

i smoked my sq10 within 3 weeks.. it doesnt push any real low end. I have a jbl bp600 amp, and went with the kicker comp CVT 10 after that. It slams compared to the sq10. the sq10 will be plenty if your not doing any other upgrades, but I have a full jbl setup (components and amps, farad cap, upgrades wires, and the avic d3 dvd/gps) and the kicker is freakin nice.

oh yeah, everything is stealth and non visable what-so-ever.

torque tc, how does the kicker fit in that box? it says that it has a mounting depth of 4 5/16". is there any room between the magnet and the bottom of the box?
