Default Need to update navi on kenwood dnx7120

I've tried updating the navi software on my unit but it doesn't want to work. I went by the instructions given on garmin but it doesn't read the sd card. Does anyone out there know how to update the navi software for the kenwood dnx7120?

They come together when you purchase any double din navigation system from kenwood.

To update your actual HU is simple I have the same HU in my girl friends altima. In order to update the map you have to buy the 1 time use SD card from garmin. It'll run you $100. IMO it's not worth the 09 maps. I'm running 08 and the only difference is a few 100 updated roads and 2000 more POI. Again not worth the $100 IMO. just update the HU firm ware and you'll be fine. Pluse to update your HU is free.

What map pack? The DNX-7120 should have been preinstalled with maps from factory. The only thing people have to do is update the maps For $100 everyonce in awhile.

You don't update the map every year, roads expand at a whopping pace of 1% per year so if your map gets you to all the places you currently frequent then don't do it but if you must:

http://www8.garmin.com/products/kenwood/

If you already have the map then the miniusb jack on the back of the unit (the xm radio connector) can be connected to any computer (laptop) and you get a massdrive detection on windows and you can erase and add any map
