Default Needle Problem

Hey everyone. I was painting my needles and when i reinstalled them the one on my speedometer drops way passed zero. it still works but i have to keep the plastic off and set it back to zero every time...anyone know of the problem or know of a way i can reset the needle?

I think you have to take off the needle, and place it back on in the correct location. You prolly just put it back on too low.

Take the needle back off.

Push it barely back on (just enough to grab the spindle) with the needle at its maximum

Turn the needle back to the proper zero point. You will feel it turn free until the spindle hits its zero point. After that the needles will be sliding on the spindle.

Press the needle the rest of the way on the spindle.
