NEEEDDD HELPPP pleaseee
ok i have a problemm, my friend who is an electrical technician who has an xb installed an underbody glow kit today and cleaned up some extra wires in my interior.
He hooked up some wires so that my radar detector turns on when my car turns on and hooked up my interior leds to turn on when my headlights are on and he hooked up my underglow kit to turn on with a switch and when my doors open. Im home now and theres a bunch of things going wrong.
1. Underglow wont work when the cars on
2. Underglow will not work when the grill leds switch is on
3. Radar wont work when grill lights are on
4. I cant switch the radar to city mode
5. ( the wierdest problem) my car doesnt turn off when underglow is on or connected. Like the key is in my hand and my engines still running
I called my friend and he says thats never happened before and that he must have mixed some wires together so he told me to just disconnect the switch for the underglow kit and the whole underglow kit altogether until he can look at it tomorow.
Has this ever happened to anyone, i have a 07 Tc

Sounds like he tied 12v switched to the 'always on 12v' ... along with quite a few other things.
A little advice for you and your friend. Get a piece of paper, and a pen and draw out your electrical system. There are only a few things to consider. Switched 12v, constant 12v and ground. find a good source for each, and plan, plan, plan.
