Default New HU...ran into some problems....

So I went and bought the Alpine W505 (awesome HU BTW) Now my 'door' doesnt close over the top of it. I took it all apart to try and just take the door off, but now there is this big ugly empty spot all the way around it. Im note really sure what to do, but if anybody knows where i can get the panels custom molded to fit the HU, with or without the door, I would love you long time! IF you are a pro and can do all this yourself I could send some pics (camera battery dead for now, waiting on a new charger in the mail) for the measurements and stuff, and i would pay you well!

you can take the brackets and drill new holes so the headunit sits farther back and the door can close.. if its just the **** hitting the door u can file down the door with a dremel tool as well

^and you will have a small gap on each side that can be covered by either ordering the pieces or making them yourself. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1209582...wAll=Y&tp=3121

Great idea.... but are you talking about the metal bracket that the stereo bolts into behind it all? I noticed that when i had it all taken apart and was looking at that.

You are still awesome for the help...didnt think about drilling holes, didnt know if there was gonna be room or not

for the gaps on the sides I used rubber sponge insulator from home depot. Fills the gaps, looks clean, and was a whopping $2 fix
