Eclipse has the best head units.
I know Eclipse has some sic headunits ... but I love my Alpine 9835 ... It has built in EQ, Digital Crossover, Time Correction, Sub Controll w/ Phase Adj, CD/MP3/WMA & iPod Interface Ready ... Just to name a few things!

$145 sub + box, $20 phoenix gold woofer/amp cable kit, $60 installation, $20 hi-lo converter

Plus I sold my old sub, which I bought for $117, for $150 (minus shipping)!

Default Got you beat

Not to sound cocky but i have you all beat i have two Diamond Audio TDX 12's and a Diamond Audio 1200.1 amp and i will bump anyone system for system and mine will never distort not one bit you should all check them out they knock try a 146.6 db and they can still handle 1200 more watts of rms power. But one thing to remember you do have to pay for that quality

Oh yeah, quality cost a lot in price and often times space. Like I said, I'd like to have a system that bumps, but still allows me to have some space in my trunk

Both actually. I took a motor assembly from a 15" woofer and put it on a 10"
basket and reconed it. This was back before the super long throw woofers we have
today...I probably built it 10 years ago or more.

The box I built for it is like a slide trombone, one inner box that the sub is
installed into slides inside a bigger box with a port. Sort of like an adjustable
bandpass. So all you do is slide the inner box up and down while you play music,
then when it sound *just* right, you screw the two together and seal it with caulk.

The problem is it's 14"X14"X26" so it's a bit large for smaller cars, but it slams
hard for a single 10". I've been using it mostly for my computer surround sound! LOL

you dont sound cocky u sound insane! with your diamond audio, i will give you $2 bucks for them. 146 db ? wow! it seems as though u need to get ur money back cuz some of us can get there and not even need two 12" speakers let alone 1.....try one 10" and half the power .............142 db and it aint diamonad audioand it ainta 12"

what midrange speakers do u have? 146 db is ur system clear at 146db? can u still hear the high's over ur overpowering bass? hmmmmm something to think about then u would know if u spent enough money

also who tagged u at 146 db your neighbor?

do the 500/1. you won;t be disappointed. Under power a sub and you get under powered sound. I threw a 250/1 at a 8W0. That Porsche Boxster was slammin.
