just means you're pushing it. the amp is cooling down and doing what its supposed to do. if you want to reduce it either mount it in a more open area or don't push it as much.

If it's really detracting from everything, send it in.

It's definitely got to move air, so depending on where it's mounted, you'll hear some sounds out of it.

Mine is mounted in the driver side panel in the rear. With my head all of 2' from it, I can hear the fan turn on and make a nice whhhhhiiiiiirirrrrrrr sound. Once the speakers are at a normal listening level, it's completely drowned out.

If your fan is so loud that you can hear it over music and it's really annoying, send the amp in.

How i postioned the amps is that I place it on the back seat Horizontal postion, behind the sub box.

I own a custom made PC before and its has like 5 or 6 fans in it and a little bit whirring doesnt bother me but boy this one does! haha

Of course I'm deaf and it took me a while to figture where the "heli" that sound come from and i thought its the installtion issues (whining coming from the speakers) but really its from the amps.

Dont get me wrong i LOVE elemental design and their tech support is one of the best i ever seen. i just wanna make sure its THE FAN so i could get it back and dont want to waste you guys time if its not the fan.

if sounds like a helicopter i don't think its the fan. if you hear a helicopter and you're deaf (no offense) its probably some engine whine

none taken :D I don't blame you because you don't know how deaf I am so anyways I'm just like you guys but has hearing aids on and talk like normal peeps.

Anyways about that sound, im sure its not the engine whine or helicopter sound. Its flat high pitch whining sound. If you turn up your stock HU to volume 35, you can still hear it.

Im not worry about it much because im getting it back and let them check it out.
