Default No headlight on chime to notify when car is off????

When the key is pulled and the lights are left on, there is no reminder beep or chime in the Scion TC. I need to know a toyota or aftermarket fix for the lack of lights on chime in the TC. Anyone know what to do about this?

The headlights turn off when you shut the ignition off and open the driver's side door. A chime seems unecessary.

i'd have to agree. worst case is that you turn off the car with the headlights on, they turn off, and when you start your car again, the lights will come on....not a biggy

The only time the headlights stay on is if you turn them on after removing the key and opening the door.

If you want annoying chimes, you should have bought a Ford.

I havent turned off my headlight switch in about a year I think Works to serve as driving lights :D

And I agree, I even hate the few seconds of beeping that occur while I am buckling up.. the last thing I need is more dinging, which I usually disable by removing the piezo buzzer on other cars.

Default Thank you for your answers!

Thank you guys so much for the reply. I tried to do a search first on the topic but couldn't find anything. I searched "Headlight chime," "headlight beep," "no chime for headlight on," headlight one reminder," as well as many others. Nothing showed up on the forums. Can anyone show me the link to a previous post n this question and the answers given? That would be helpful.
I am not a TC owner yet but am soon to order one and was looking for this answer, even going to the Scion.com website and there is nothing mentioned. Thank you all for your answers and taking the time.

the answers are the same...

doesn't need it.. doesn't exist...

you would have to intentionally leave the headlights on for it to stay on.

yep... just dont turn the headlights from off to on after the ign is turned off and you will be ok. That is the only way to have them stay on once the door is opened.

Yup. I don't know about most people, but after I turn off the car, I usually notice if I forgot to turn off the headlights... and even if I did, sometimes I won't do anything about it since they shut off when opening the door anyway.

Excessive chimes are for domestics and cars like the Camry which annoy you to hell if, say, the passenger doesn't wear their seatbelt.

I don't like the seatbelt beep, but I don't disable it because I don't see it as a bad thing per se. Now I always just make sure to put on my seatbelt before even turning the ignition - primarily to avoid the beep, but I guess the beep made me develop better habits.

You realize that the seatbelt beep doesn't begin unless the car is moving right?

Camry passenger or tC driver? I assume you are talking about the Camry because my seatbelt beep comes on once I get to "ON" (not even cranking the engine), provided I'm not wearing a belt.

Man, the Camry sounds a little overprotective.

heh, tell me about it. Took a ride in my cousin's 07 the other day, and I could've sworn the car sounded like it was about to explode. First, its a regular, loud, annoying beep with a red seatbelt light. Then, it gets faster if you refuse to comply. BOOM! Ok, it doesn't explode, but it might as well...
