I resisisted getting the sub for a looong time, but recently the prices have dropped rock bottom, and I figured $150 was too good to pass up.
The Problem is, I have a bad back, and don't wish to isntall the sub myself. I'd like to hire someone off craigslist to come over tommorow and install it, but cannot find a good time estimate of how long it should take to install it for a person who would presumably have some experience with stereo installations.
I might also ask to have a off/on switch wired in, and set into the rocker panel left of the steering wheel. Any idea how much extra time this would take? I've seen the DIY install guide showing how to do this, just wondering if anyone knew from experience how much extra effort this would be.
So, to summarize, how much should I be offering (or how many hours should it take) for someone to come into our building (heated) garage, with my tools, and install the sub [THE RIGHT WAY, not taking any cheap-___ shortcuts]. If you have experience with the rocker switch, a seperate time/$ estimate would be great too.
Thanks, I'm looking to post an ad ASAP for tommorow afternoon.

If i lived closer id do it for $60
It took me about 1-2 hours to install it
its really easy to install, the taking the interior out if the worst part, but even that is easy.
The on off switch would be easy to wire in also. I would just wire it into the main power wire on the harness. That would take another 10 min.
Id say if you find someone $100 sounds about right.
Dont know about shop prices

than 45min - hour. Worst case; you could install it a little bit at a time. That's what I did when I installed
my amp.
You should post this in your regional forum. I bet somebody near you would do this for lunch and a 6-Pack.
I would.

I would do it for some cigars, but my schedule sucks. I am in Naperville, but am out in Villa park a lot since my inlaws live there
the sub should be a piece of cake for install. the switch should take about 5-10 mins with the proper parts available i.e. wire

I sold mine to a local guy for 100 installed, he felt bad with me doing all the work so he gave me an extra 27.
It took me like 35 or 40 minutes and I swapped his rear-passenger side for mine that already had the hole in it.
it's so easy to do it's ridiculous, just takes a little bit of time.
