Mine, that I am trading for stock pieces (non-painted). First come first serve. Sides of waterfall are FM....center is BSP. Square piece that goes around shifter is BSP, everything else is FM.

Hi all,
This is my first post but this site has been like my dictionary for my tC. I was looking at this thread and saw awesome painted trims. Made me wanna do it. I painted my waterfall this evening, but mine looked like a crap. look even worse than the stock one.
Does any of you know any good shop that can do a good job around 50 miles radius of Cerritos? I don't mind paying around $100 for painting.
Thanks. I'm sorry if i m posting this in a wrong place.

Sure....why not. Just to let you know, don't expect shops to do a paint job for $100. Shops around here charge $165....that's if you provide the supplies too. Without supplies they charge $265.

Chrono, can you describe what you mean by ugly? Where did you run into problems? What steps did you take to repaint things. I ask b/c at some point I'd like to give this my interior/waterfall a shot, but don't want to commit to a process that I honestly may not be skilled to do properly. I'm certainly not trying to embarrass you or anything, but do you have any pics of your work? If your "ugly" looks "acceptable" to me, I may muster up the courage to repaint things myself after all. Thanks a lot - and sorry you're not happy with the result(s).

by the way thanks guys...i wanted to keep it simple, white and carbon...i see alot of interiors cluttered with switches, badges and neon lighting staring at your soul....this was my simple "clean" answer to a good looking interior.

oh, ugly means like really bad. nth compared to anything you see in this thread.
i think up to sanding and using primer were ok. the problem came in while spraying the color coat. That evening was kinda windy. Although i did it in the garage, i felt like
paint weren't coming out correctly. maybe i didn't open the spray tip correctly or i just don't know how to use it.
i don't wanna discourage you, and i believe if you do it carefully and follow some of the instructions from other members, you should have a good one.
For me, i just lost my confidence.

here is how it looks like:

Based on angles, Chrono, that doesn't look bad to me. The only noticeable from my perspective is the fact that the outside of the waterfall is painted while the inside is left the stock color. Don't be too hard on yourself - I was expecting paint running from outside to inside, and things like that, when you mentioned bad.

Thanks for posting a pic. I'm still considering doing the paint job, but with the latest LED swap I have, plus a new mesh silver shift ****, I'm kinda falling in love with the stock color all over again. I'll definitely post pics if I decide to brave it, though.

I want to bring my exterior color into my interior but its really hard to work BRM into the dash panels without it looking rice.

I have made a little photoshop to get ideas

I know its a huge image but its hard to get the feeling with a small one. I messed up the middle it would be as close to the vent color as i can get and the blue wont have the pattern.

Any ideas for me?
