Official Interior Dash Thread...
Theres 2 screws on the side of the steering wheel you have to remove. But you need special a screwdriver or attachment for a rachet too remove them I don't know the size off hand it's a T something I'll let you know later on when i get home from work and I'll post the size up.But once you do that gently remove the airbag and you'll then see 2 other regular screws on each side that hold those pieces in place remove those and take them off.As for the power window controls they clip right off the samething goes for the switches on them.

What's up guys, I'm new to ScionLife but not new to the mod game. I have an '06 Classic Silver Metallic. I'm about to do the dome lights in blue, gauges in blue, and waterfall LED's in blue. While I have everything apart I thought I might as well paint dash pieces. Should I go with blue? Black? What color scheme and pattern? Should I do it all? Any opinion would be GREATLY appreciated before I do it.
i had that scheme 5 yrs ago. blue leds in the map and festoon bulns aswell as the cubby. i painted my waterfall and gauge cluster blue metallc and black. looking back it doesnt flow well at all with the buttons and id NEVER do it again lol
right now my waterfall and everything is painted GGM(rs4.0) and BSP

Just finished it. Took a couple of days since i work 7 days a week. I took my time on prep work which is super crucial. let me know what you guys think
Primed>wet sanded>base coat>wet sanded>several layers of clear.
Still havent used a rubbing compound to bring the shine out. I put it in to have the heat speed up the curing.

Did my interior this weekend.
Color Black Night Metallic from rustoleum.
Came out pretty nice. few imperfections maybe 3, but being a dark color there hard to see unless you inspect it with a microscope.
prep took 4 hours, sanding with 400 grit wet/dry paper, wiped off with wet rag then 2 coats of grey prime
3 coats of base and 3 clear coats
nice and shiny, all coats were a little more than light but not heavy enough to cause drip.
I didnt do my steering wheel peices, I am a little hesitant to do them
saw the 2 screws on side of wheel but was like uhh idk about this,
airbag in face is my luck
what are the chances of airbag going off? none of i disconnect the battery right?
I really want to do them to complete the interior.
But Airbag to the dome peice freaks me out a little.
I will try to put up pics once its fully cured and polished
