I wanted to try doing wood grain on my interior just for the fact that its something different. I dont mind that its gonna get frowned upon but just that its different is kool. Like the guy that did the red snake skin. That looked pretty awsome

I find that extremly tacky, and quite ugly. No point in arguing over our options because they wont be swayed either way. My .02 slow cheap cars should not have wood grain. Its fine to put 6k into speed on cheap car because a stock fast car is about 15k more so yah.

imo, performance always precedes luxury - souping up a slow car makes more sense because it serves its function as a car even better. it's a car, and a car gets you from point A to B, and if it can help you get that done even faster, then its just a better car.

now, decking out the interior of a low performance vehicle doesn't make much sense because the money used doing this would have more logically been used to make the car a better car, rather than making it better looking. just breaking down my reasoning can i get an amen?

anyone else think putting a spoiler on a tC is pointless? being a front wheel drive, pushing the back end down does little i'd think. a trd supercharger might be cool tho.

hey but really, these are all just light-hearted opinions - not like "i hate you because of your wooden steering wheel" lol ...my friend does some tacky $|-|iT...i tell him and we just laugh it's all good, haha.

enjoy.

oh yeah? that's interesting... but still on a tC? i'd hope the engine was modded before a spoiler was added. how much they go for anyways?

I'm thinking of getting a new intake....wonder how much it goes for.

Uhm if im not mistaken the spoiler still adds down force that is needed for tight cornering. Thats why most time attack tcs still have the rear spoiler. Even though rob has the front spoiler he still has the rear

some people (like me) dont care about performance of the tC and thats why we bought it. its not a fast car IMO dumping money into to make it faster is kinda "poserish".

seen as how i drive the car at least 1 hour a day i want to be in a car im comfortable in, so if i want to put my money into the interior to make it luxurious who cares. just like if i want to make it look better on the outside no problem, and to say adding a spoiler is poser-ish is stupid, spoilers are for looks not everyone needs to make their car aerodynamic lol, you're funny.

nope, sorry....you can't do that - that's illegal.

change it now.

lol, really - I think I'm mostly referring to really high end luxury mods that are only for aesthetic appeal and do not improve comfort/durability/utility of the vehicle. things like painting stuff, fiberglassing trim, leather seats, etc seem more than reasonable.

come to think about it, a wooden trunk might actually be kinda cool... unless the wood is ridiculously expensive and cut from rare and exotic trees found in south america which make up the natural habitat of various endangered species.

to the first part of your post anybody can polish up a turd and make it fast. That massaratti is still banging imo.

Now to the interior. I like what you did with the headliner I do have one question about the seat covers. Are they an actual seatcover that molds around it and needs to be steamed to fit right or is it like the usual seat covers where the thing slides every which way when you get into the thing?

They are the clazzio seat covers. They slide on over the stock seat covers but have a nice tight fit as if you bought the car that way or had them from roadwire or katzkin. They don't move like regular walmart or autozone seat covers. The only thing is with the back I had to put my cd case on the seat part for a couple days cuz no one sat back there and it made i a tighter fit. I wouldn't do the suede clazios again unless I had limo tint and kept it garaged. The black suede on the the seats are now gray. The black suede everywhere else was good stuff and has no problems.
