Official Interior Dash Thread...
Use Dupli-Color if you want to use rattle can. I never did mine with can I had it Hydro Dipped but I've use Dupli-Color for other things as well as for rims on my old car.
I used dupli color the first time around and was completely unimpressed. I got some primer and switched to Krylon for my next attempt.
Where did you hydro dip it at?

Sorry for the crappy pic. My digi broke, and this is the product of my phone. I had an extra cigarette lighter switch, so I wired up some led strips. Getting ready to paint my new full waterfall here :

I'm pretty efficient with the rattle can. Doing a metallic red, maybe Metal Specks.. Haven't fully decided yet...
@Aurora.. With something like the smooth plastic on the waterfall most people would know that paint isn't going to adhere. I tape up (take time) all the parts I don't want painted. This takes some time, but it's better than having to get paint OFF. I sand it with a 600 to 800 grit paper. Constantly make sure I go the same way on all of the plastic. I haven't ever used a primer on anything I'm painting. The things I'm painting always turn out to be going darker than they already are, so I skip that step.If I wanted to paint something that was black to be yellow, I'd use a primer.. Otherwise no.
Hang up your part you're painting. Don't lay it down on news paper and spray. Use metal coat hangers or kite string if possible. I test the paint on a part that wouldnt be seen that often. Sometimes I try it on something totally different than what I am painting. Go with full strokes, going one way. left to right.. then right to left, then left to right.. You get the idea. I keep my coats very thin and if a can says wait 15 minutes between layers, I wait 15 minutes between coats. They know their ____. I think the hardest part about rattle can painting isn't that it's HARD, it's just people without patience just can't do it.

How the hell do you get the waterfall radio flip-up door off? There are three screws on the back side that I cannot access.
I've searched the internet high and low, with no luck. Makes me think there is something really easy I'm missing.
