The whole waterfall is removed and in pieces. I just can't figure out how to remove the door from the spring arm for painting.

There's just two little socket tabs made from plastic that you can disengage, roll the spring backwards and it comes free.

i used rustoleum red plastic paint, and rustoleum all purpose flat black. i also had this "automotive" primer by rustoleum that i found in my garage, so i used that too i still want to wet sand and buff up the red, but i may just do that later on

i dont think theyre understanding what you mean...

you mean get the door off of the part that hooks up to the spring? there are 4 screws that are VERY had to get to. i couldnt figure it out, so i just taped off the black arm part....

Holy crap your shifter is SOOO TALL. i never realized how tall the stock shift height was... lol. Once i put my TWM stage 2 in there i haven't looked at a stock one since. Wow.

I never would have thought of rustoleum. It came out very well! I've been using Krylon since it's the closest to 040 paint code, but you can't clear it....I don't think you need to buff it, it looks great!

Yep that's exactly the issue I had. I couldn't get those 4 screws off and I didn't want to risk taping up everything on it.

what brand paint did you use for the flat black? did you lay any primer down?

I used primer and Krylon all purpose flat black spray paint.

yeah you should either paint it or if you get an aftermarket head unit, get the mount kit that deletes the door

lmaooo yea its soo tall, ive never had a short shifter so i wouldnt have anythin to compare it to and thanks! :D

Thanks! i came out much better than i thought it would. and yea im not so sure im gonna buff it cuz knowing me id probably mess that up hahaha

thanks man, my waterfall is so many different fail colors I just wanted something flat and blending in.

How close does the Krylon all purpose flat black rattle can come to the black of the center console (cup holders, ebrake) area??
