Default PAC SWI-X mounting of LED dongle?

Hello all, just purchased my tC on Saturday. I have ordered the Alpine IVA-W200 & the PAC SWI-X. I am having the gear installed next week. Through my research I have found that there is a blue LED that is required to shine directly at the IR port on the HU in order for speaker controls to work.

My question is where will the little blue LED dongle be installed?

Thanks to all for your knowledgeable replies!

you can place it just under the armrest facing towards your HU. large 64 oz slurpees in the cup holder may block it though.
another place you could try is right in the inner lip of the radio console..ir is pretty forgiving. the only issue there will be it may be difficult to wire up. the benefit is that your controls will still work with the door closed.

Thanks for rely jet. Has anyone out there installed this adapter? And, if so are there any available pics anywhere of installation?

yeah, if you go to this page on my site, you'll see a whole bunch of pics. the polaroid in the top right shows a close up of under the armrest. you'll notice a little ir eye in the upper left corner. click the polaroid for a larger detail. it's barely noticable. and from the drier or pass seat can't be seen at all due to the angle.

Thanks jet. That pic was exactly what I needed to see. I'm letting a pro shop install it but at least thanks to your pic I can tell them where I want it placed.

Yeah I actually order the PAC from crutchfield along with my alpine, but after I read the DIY https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...862&highlight=

I said screw it and returned the PAC and just use the remote to flip through stations
