Programming the SWI-PS
I've gotten everything hooked up as it should be, but i'm having a problem with programming the interface unit. Every time I program it, the buttons don't get mapped out to where they should be.
This is what I get when I press the steering wheel buttons:
Vol Down = Band
Vol Up = Unkown, or not working
Track Down = Vol. Down
Track Up = Vol Up
Source = Mute.
I've followed the manual as it says to program. Anyone else have this problem or know what the heck is wrong here?

You aren't skipping the correct sequence of buttons (by not pressing anything on your steering wheel and just pressing the programming button on the SWI-PS to skip). Those little boxes are tricky, especially if something isn't working.
Did your install require resistors? If it did, you should probably take a pic of where/how you wired them. Then I can at least give you a sanity check on that part.

I closed up the dash for now, cause it's driving me insane and i want to get everything else accomplished today... but i can tell you that each wire is connected with quick connect taps. the resistor is the 150 ohm resistor, which i soldered each end of to a wire, to quick connect both ends of the resistor to where it needs to go. (white interface wire, etc.)
It functions as it should, i just don't think it's programming correctly. Perhaps i'll toy with it and see if i can get a different configuration to work...

*Update*
I ended up exchanging the SWI-PS per PAC audio, and the new unit works flawlessly. Only had to program it once. Though, it seems a bit slower than my stock stereo was. is there a good explanation for that? Is this normal? It does not really bother me, except for when i need to press a button really fast (say, track down).
