Default Parking Break (B-) Bypass

Hey guys, I got a question

I bought a Innovatek In-365DTM and it plays movies. But there is a wire called parking break (b-) and its green. Do I need to ground it to the parking break or just any ground will do? And can I bypass this somehow that allows me to watch dvds while I drive? Well its for my passengers. The deck was bought from the website www.mp3playerstore.com.

Please let me know exactly in a detailed method what I should do and can do.

install green wire to ground.

putting the ground on the parking brake is meant so that when the parking brake is engaged... the wire is grounded, thus providing its feature... parking brake not up, not grounded... can't watch movies.

if it's always grounded.. then well... it'll always play unless there are other safety measures, which aren't present on that specific headunit.

Wire it to a switch so you can switch back and forth between legal and illegal!

i'm not available to chat online right now as i'm not remotely near home.
out on business and just checking on the site.

he was mentioning to install a switch to be able to ground and unground the wire as you wish, instead of installing it onto your parking brake.

mostly just in case something happens and a cop that is really **** about it doesn't catch you doing something you shouldn't

nonetheless, you do what you want and if something happens.. it's on you.

ahhh ok. I won't do the switch then, il do the ground all the time and try that out and hope it works. Cops around where I live probably don't even know about no tv when you drive and if they do, they don't care or won't notice because when they stop you, your car must be off....anyway, il reply to this thread once I have installed my deck.

thanks for your help, if you think I should know anything more, let me know.

contact a scionlife user. his name is couped

He can sell you a switch for cheap and get it to you quickly. Plus, he's a good guy. I bought 2 from him.

I like the switch so that if I get pulled over or somebody else is in my car, i can make it completely legal. When a cop pulls you over and sees a video screen, he is going to not like you anyway, so he may make you turn it on etc. You can put the switch in the switch panel or even somewhere else hidden. For $9, I wanted the ability to make it legal.
