Same here. I find that if I want it MUTED, I just hit the pause button when playing from my ipod.

 

steering wheels don't have a pause button....

 

Mine is set up to ATT (attenuate) as well. A lot more useful then source.

What does ATT mean? Like its function?

 

ATT lowers the volume about halfway, not completely muting it.

you can pick on the ipod settings if u want ur ipod to charge on the d3 or not. if you take off ur key from the ignition, the ipod turns off either way. i notice that if i keep my ipod charge "on" it gives the ipod video a distortion.

 

I have an appointment this Wednesday at 12pm to get mine installed!! I can't freaking wait!! I'm also getting the bluetooth, steering wheel controls, DVD bypass wire, Ipod cable and remote as well.

 

wow Im so ____ed I bought a new 160gb because I had mine stolen and the D3 wont play it. I had to settle for the smaller older version.

 

hmmm any1 kno how to set the actual NEXT button on the deck to switch presets on the radio, instead of just changing stations. it would be alot easier to drive switching radio presets with the button instead of the touch screen button only.

 

i has one too. Btw how hard is it to install the steering wheel controls? I didnt even bother when i first put it in.

 

I know someone that has the Pioneer Avic D1 that would sell to me for $500.00. What is the difference between the D1 and the D3?

 

^ d1 doesnt play dvd and its like the first model not worth 500 IMO

 

Oh damn screw that then. I can get a D3 instead. I'd like a Z3 but a little too pricey for me. For $1800.00 I can put that towards a turbo :D

as long as you dont change the route you are on...i think

 

yep. after you get everything loaded you can take the nav dvd out and put in the cd. but like STNC said. if you switch routes or addresses you have to put the dvd back in
