also adding to that.. their is aux input in the back that u can run cables to the center console in place of the aux port

using the front aux port requires purchase of a separate cable also

Love my D3.. if anybody wants the perfect settings to match the OEM illumination, send me a PM. I've toyed with mine for days getting the color right including the brightness.. And use the "yellow" theme colors which also match really well, if not perfectly with the rest of the OEM illumination.. everybody thinks my D3 is factory. LOVE IT.

I found the D3(new) on ebay for about 750shipped. Is there anything wrong with buying the D3 on ebay? Does anyone know where to buy one that is cheaper?

Cheapest I've seen. I don't have one yet...after one more paycheck I'll be installing mine. Chance it's stolen? Probably not though.

Great avatar btw.

Umm.. my car will be sitting outside at college next year, i have a 2 way pager alarm system, and i think the door cover will work, so I'm not too worried about that. Why do you ask?

if you compare your stock ones to the ones posted on the first page, youll notice that the indents are drilled out. drill the indents out with a 3/16" drill bit.

to put bgs on the d3, all you do is make a folder on a cd (keep it in the root) called "pictures" and then load the images there. to change the background you have to go to settings in the nav menu. the cd has to be at least 1.8mb for the d3 to be able to recognize it (i just threw some high res pics in there to meet the space minimum).

images are 480x234 but you can make them bigger as long as they are in porportion to the original size. you just get a higher resolution image.

someone made a few.. here are some..

someone on here made these ones i forgot who..

and here is the one i made and i use.. i like it because it has a really heavy ghost effect ( can barely see it during the day..lol)
