THANKS FOR THE INFO. I WAS NOT SURE OF BUYING IT B/C THEY HAD TOLD ME I WAS GOING TO LOOSE MY STEERING WHEEL REMOTE. NOW I JUST GOTTA FIND SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO INSTALL IT B/C THE TWO PLACES I WENT THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO PUT THE ADAPTER TO THE STEERING WHEEL.

IS THERE ANYONE IN NJ OR CLOSE THAT KNOWS HOW TO INSTALL IT?

I learned how to wire my PAC-SWI for my aftermarket Pioneer deck using that picture alone. I wrapped the resistor and soldered wires in heat shrink tubing, but other than that, that's the only picture I needed.

I've never worked on a car in my life until I got my tC, and from this site alone, I was able to install nearly all my mods. It's not that difficult to put in a headunit, especially when it comes to a car that comes apart like Legos.

Im kind of with installing things, I brake everything I touch. I rather have anoone else do it for me, than myself, I dont trust myself with braking my car apart.

 

i wouldnt mind doing it (the PAC and the d3 install) if someone is willing to fly me there

LOL, I need a vacation too. so for now, I need the d3, with the steering adapter, with the ipod cables, and I know I need something else to be able to close the little door.

 

drill the little indents on the stock brackets with a 3/16" drill. buy the metra dual din harness kit, then you will be able to mount it far enough back without worrying about hitting the door.

Drilling out those inner holes will allow the door to close period. If you're talking about automatic closing, then you'd need a tCover.

 

Has anyone connected a TV tuner to the D3 yet? Or any suggestions on which route to go in getting one install?

 

i know pioneer used to make one, but iono if it works with the d3. also, id think itd be unfortunately useless since i think in April 2009 all over the air stuff (including wireless mics and television) will be eliminated :/ thus making a TV tuner (less you can get satellite) would be obsolete :/

 

hpf/spf whatever it is. i turn it on but it keep shutting off by itself. any ideas?

 

change your staging first, then set your HPFs. each time you change the staging the hpf changes.

 

Only thing getting shut off is the analog TV signal. If anyone makes a DTV tuner that would be fine. Or if someone makes a tuner that converts the digital to an analog signal, like Samsung and a few other companies have in the works for home use, you would be fine.

 

^ but arent over the air DTV like super picky with their angle and stuff? i remember we tried installing one, but the angle we needed had to very specific.

 

i tried to make a music video dvd to play in the d3 but no luck. maybe its the program (ConvertXtoDVD). anyone have any luck make one and if so what program did you use. i'm putting close to 50 vids on one dvd.
