GPS Antenna is behind the waterfall, above the center vent...there is a small indent where the GPS (and metal plate) sat perfectly...GREAT RECEPTION, no one would know it's there....
The Mic is temporarily clipped to the Driver's side vent, next to the Guage Bezel...the wire is tucked away behind the dash, above the the steering wheel...it got late when me and my buddy where installing it, so I just put it there for now...
Bluetooth works fine (a little echo on caller's end). The module it right behind the unit....
Back-up Camera is going in next...I have NO IDEA where to mount it inside the car though...any suggestions?
5.1 Processor...summer project
Where is your stuff located?

I haven't gotten it in yet. It seems that it was shipped and the tracking number is lost. I dunno but I've already ran the antenna for my xm and it's next to that round defrost vent on the driver side. I think I'm gonna put the gps antenna on the passenger side in the same place. I'm not to sure how receptions is going to be but i'll figure that out. I'm putting the boxes for the xm and ipod under the driver seat. I still need the bluetooth and back up camera tho. what is a good power wire to tap into for all the extra stuff (xm, ipod, etc.)? and this indent ur talking about with your gps antenna i'm just not seeing my dash is flat right there. It's where i keep my fuzz buster. oh and another thing. all the extra stuff (xm, ipod, etc.) does it matter in which order they are plugged in?

The order you plug everything in doesn't matter as long as you do it while installing...if you plug items in AFTER you've activated the unit, you may have to reset it so it recognizes the new equipment.
About the indent:
It's behind the waterfall...I placed the receiver between the top of the center vent plastic and below the dash (I'll take pics when I install my rear view cam)
Honestly, I'm not sure about putting the GPS receiver near that round Passenger vent...I HATE GOING NEAR THE AIR BAG MODULE, lol...but it will work no matter where you put it as long as you don't cover it with metal (this includes window tints with metallic properties). Some people put it in the A-pillars near the front windshield...nice and clean installs too...
Your XM and Ipod stuff should run off of the unit's power...but just in case, you should be able to use either of your cigarette lighter wires...should provide enought juice...
What year tC do you have? I've got an 05...no OEM iPod cable, no steering wheel controls...oh well

I have an '06 and i finally got the Head Unit in from DHL today. I'm hoping the install is short sweet and painless. I've decided to put the mic in the cubby hole under the waterfall. It's out of the way and i think it'll work just fine. I'm still going to wait a while for the bluetooth and back up cams. I'm assuming you did it all yourself. I'm hoping that this by-pass isn't going the be too hard. where did you ground you're wires at? I'll have pics tomorrow or friday I hope.

I had a CarPC installed prior to this project, so I used an existing ground near the base of the waterfall...it's a bolt on the passenger side...under the carpet.
You may have to use some of the 'extra' wire (pink or purple)in the package to extend the 'by-pass' wire to a desired location.
My by-pass works fine...just follow the instructions on Avic411, and you'll be fine. You may still get the warning screens, but I'm used to them...can't really do anything about those...
Let me know if you need help with the install...it was a lot of wiring, but everything comes labeled, just solder and follow your directions....
POST PICS WHEN YOUR DONE PLEASE!!
