Okay, I finally got the puter fixed... These have been done for two weeks now. And, yes I know Audiobahns only look great (which is why they're mounted inversely), but these things sound surprisingly nice too. Sorry there are so many pics, but I'm proud of these. Anyways, here ya go:
The amp in the foam:

Boxes done, before installation:

Finally in the car (notice the seats are reclined in the first pic):

And, another shot from inside that shows the curves a little better:

wow.. you got lucky with those. the kicker comp 10" that i baught require minimum of 0.8 per sup.. 1.6 minimum for 2.. and im going for some SQ.. so i want to have 1.75 cu ft for each one.. im going to try and fiberglass the enclosure, which is going to be a PROJECT.

i want to be able to put the seats down and move the sub/amp rack forward so i can still get to the spare if i have to .. and i want to save as much trunk space as possible. .

the only thing i cant figure out is if i should have the subs facing towards the rear of the vehicle.. or the roof... any suggestions? which sounds better. i know that usually if you point the subs towards the front it produces frequesncy cancellation .. shown here.

What are the dimensions of this box? I assume this is just the top and the underside is the fiberglassed section.

Hey,
thats my eclipse avn5435. Which now I suppose is actually last years model. The new model is the avn5500. The only difference is that the 5500 has the newer navigation dvd. I actually got the newest nav dvd, so I suppose mine is now a 5500 too lol. As its the EXACT same unit just with different dvds, i'd personally buy the 5435 and upgrade the dvd if you find it for a good price, otherwise, don't bother.

There is a cd slot and a dvd slot. You access it by the unit sliding down and out (bottom first so the screen is facing straight up).

You can close the stock cover easily with no problem. During the installation, we cut another set of holes in the stock bracket to move it back a bit. One set of holes is too far back, and the other is too far forward, so the new holes are in the middle. Makes sense...

Its a great unit, really convenient and with the 06-07 models, it has a direct port for the steering wheel controls so you don't lose them or have to buy a sucky adapter that will fail after 6 months like you would with any other brand. (eclipse is actually owned by toyota I believe, or something like that, but nonetheless, the wiring matches up nicely).
