problem with avic-d3 and swi-ps
I've got everything working except I can't program the MODE button on the steering wheel to do anything. The volume +/- and up/down arrows work it's just the MODE. I'm about to plug in the factory HU (2006) to see if theres a loose connection with the button. Anyone else experience this?

i haven't heard any problems as long as the wires are all connected properly.
programming can be a little time consuming and compicated, but the instructions they give are pretty easy to understand.
i'd check the wire connections to the pac-swi first before doing anything with the stock headunit going back in.
if you haven't taken the steering wheel apart at all, there's no reason why there should be anything loose there.
also do note that the pac-swi does exhibit a lag between button presses and headunit response.

All clear. The initial problem was when I was programming, the LED on the SWI wasn't turning off to indicated that the button was learned. When I did plug in the stock HU hehe, the test was inconclusive. The only button that worked was the vol +. I started over from the beginning (reconnected the SWI, clearing out the programming) and everything worked.
