Default quarterwave sub enclosure

has anyone picked up one of these? i'm thinking about getting one (http://www.elegonics.com/quarterwave...s/QD_TC_I.html), but it looks like it may not fit with the rear strut bar. i just tried to get in touch with them to see if they could make me one that'll fit the specs i need, but this is the enclosure i want. the thing is perfect-takes up no space and would look awesome-one for each side of the trunk.

thats actually pretty nice. Takes up zero space. Mount the amp on the other side.

Yeah I've been thinking of one too..

Problem is that its pretty small, and the enclosure volume might adversely affect the sub...

I'd mount my amp under my seat though

That seems pretty cool. I could get rid of my subwoofer box. I wonder how it sounds?

that's what i'm trying to do right now-find more info about the thing from people who have it. i wasn't sure if anyone had gotten one yet since it's pretty new, but i was hoping that at least one person did. i really want to get it, but i have a mmw rear strut bar, so i'm thinking it may not fit correctly. i emailed the company to see if they could change the size on the thing for me. on their webpage, it says that everything can be customized, additional airspace, etc etc. if they can adjust the size of it for me and add additional airspace, i'd buy one immediately.

nice design, but the enclosure too small to produce any kind good low bass... I would have made it so that it raises up an extra 5 inches to more than double the interior cubic space at very little cost of interior space. Then again they said they can customize it, so yeah pretty sweet

that's strictly dependent on the woofer. for instance, my 12s only require .85 cu ft in a sealed enclosure while I've seen 12s that take 2.5cu ft sealed.

They have a post in sponsored sales for the customizing and such. the box they build for the xB looks pretty nice, and has varying space for different woofers.

they can do custom stuff as far as sizing and all that. i'm getting one made by them-same design, but i needed it with .625 cu ft, and also to have the thing about 3 inches shorter cuz of the strut bar, and they're gonna do it for me. it's gonna be a lil more expensive than the listed price, but i don't really care-it looks sweet in that location, i want it, and i have to have it. it'll be ordered by monday, and hopefully at my house by next weekend so i can install it. as long as the amount of cu ft is on point for ur specific sub, the fact that the thing seems small makes no difference performance wise. check for that on the owners manual that comes with the sub. diamond audio has all that stuff listed on their website as well if u can't find tha manual-i'm pretty sure most other companies do the same.

Boston Acoustics G510 would be perfect for that enclosure I thinks... Only needs .5 cubic ft of airspace.
