just for a clarification, because I am going through the same thing right now... the front seats of 05 to 07 tC's that I know of have 3 harnesses that come from the floor to the seat... 1 being a seat belt sensor, that senses whether or not you have a belt on when the car is moving, 2- a seat positioning airbag sensor that determines how far back your seat is from the steering wheel and adjusts the speed of deployment and amount of air used to deploy the airbag. Now when you switch to after market seats, the seats will most likely not have this sensor... if the airbags will not function properly due to the harness not being completed is unknown, (Toyota wasn't much help in determining that once I mentioned the word aftermarket)
