Anyone have any suggestions for a good replacement stereo for an 05? Want something ipod/iphone compatible.

well ive always liked alpine for their sound. depends, do you want a double-din size like what's in there? or the 1 DIN size (half of the stock size)? some of alpine's double-din sizes are really expensive.

another is JVC and Kenwood too, but those three are what I like. have to go and listen to some to see what you like.

I have the 3200bt, alpine type x speakers w/ hifonics amp. Sound quality is unbelievable. best EQ in this price range, ipod function is so simple w/ touchscreen and ABC search. I am speechless about this unit.

thanks, hadn't noticed the 3200bt - how well does it mount? Does the door work with it or does that need to be removed (and are any extra trim pieces necessary)?

I was kind of liking the look of http://www.crutchfield.com/s_130AVIC....html?tp=20212 but it's probably more then I really want to spend, and I'm not so certain I'd enjoy the "off brand" gps interface however, the deeper integration with the ipod/iphone is nice.

Definitely thinking of a dual din touchscreen unit but I'd prefer something that could leave the original door intact and not require extra trim...

 

can anyone comment as to whether or not the 3200bt needs extra trim or fits in the stock hole (and allows the door to close)

 

for pioneer avh 3200 bt u will need scion tc double din dash kit. its not so much of dash kit. because all u going to use is to block the little on the side. but ur radio cover will still close. u will use ur factory bracket to mount the dvd player. but i have to say it mount good and nice. i have 3200 dvd added blue tooth module to it. same thing pretty much. eq is very nice too . i like u can put image to sd memory card and use it as background. everything works good. please dont buy jensen double din. door wont close. u just need to put toggle switch to pioneer one so u can watch movie when parking break isnt on. price aint bad and its good unit
