Default Replacing curtain airbags

i just wanna know how hard it is to turn off the airbag indicator?
dealer said: "it is recommend that you replace the center senor console under/behind the clock for the airbags to work again"
when they use the word "recommend" i have a feeling that's not the only way, but who knows.
so replacing the side curtain, anyone can do, but how do you turn off that indicator
[assuming that, with it turned off, every airbag is functional]

i appreciate any type of input here

or
we install it, and have them reset <--- that would be my last option, but dun want to come to that end, not if i HAVE to
thannks

hmm did you try just disconnecting the neg battery cable letting it sit for a bit and then hooking it back up to let everything reset?

my curtain airbag deployed, so by replacing for another one + disc the neg batt wire will bring it back to normal?

^^ uhh... no.

it's the last option.. you'll need a lot of money.
you don't have insurance?

airbags deployed usually = salvaged title as well..

i don't really know; I was just suggesting something to try. No reason not to give it a whirl though

when the airbags deploy there is an airbag computer that will either need to be replaced or have it reset by some one other than the dealer as they will try to sell you a new one, also your airbag sensors( the ones affected) will also need to be replaced, you will need to take care of those things first, then try disconnecting the battery to turn off the air bag light indicator.
