Replacing footwell LED's
I noticed that my car came with the footwell/cupholder LED setup already installed. I'd hate to feel like an absolute noob but I noticed that the car's footwell LED's were removed when I purchased the cars..leaving zipties there. This makes me think that the connection is there already, I'd just have to buy two new strips.
This is the kit that scion advertises and installs when you purchase the car.
So what I'm asking is...if someone could show me what the LED's would connect to? Being that the connections are probably are already there...and what I could buy to replace the nonexisting LED's that were once there.

I have ONE of the brand new OEM bars. i dont think youll find two to easy... Maybe you can buy mine, and buy the other one direct from toyota? Ill sell the "bar" for $13 shipped. It is only the clear bar, as the LEDS light the ends of the bar. Do you have the LEDS or are you missing everything?
The individual components part numbers are listed in the install instructions, and can be looked up on Sparks. Not to kill your potential sale of the one bar, but the prices for the other parts he would need are ridiculous.
Driver side bar - $23, passenger side - $25. The LED kit is the killer, $48.87. So he's looking at about $85 at best, to pick up the one bar from you, plus the other and the LED kit from Toyota (plus shipping!). Ouch.
If the wiring is still there, easiest/cheaper thing to do would be to just wire in an LED strip, and put it up under the dash out of direct view - can be purchased from Oznium, or on ebay, whatever.

Oznium also offers LED bars, a lot less $ than the OEM set up - check their site.
The OEM part is a clear bar, with an LED mounted at the end, light is reflected through the entire bar. If you want a similar effect, and want to keep the bar in view, cold cathode tubes look pretty much the same. Again, Oznium sells those too, also for a lot less than the OEM set up.

I ended up using the instructions provided earlier to locate the white wire that was already put into the car as it was previously in it, but for some reason removed. I bought 2 sets of 2 at AutoZone (despite them being cheaper and nicer at the website provided earlier) and wired them into the white wire. It worked perfectly except when I accidently crossed cables which blew the fuse (my god that was a pain to find underneath the dash).
I'm wondering if you can wire any exterior Led's to this same line, just out of curiosity? I've ordered a set of LED's for the outside (2 sides, front and back) and was curious if I could put it on the same line..hooked up to the same button.
