Default RS 6.0 Alpine Radio NEED HELP!!! + cluster swap

I got a 2010 RS 6.0 tc. I like the extrior color and the inside theme, but all the gauges are AMBER!! Looks stupid. So im tring to do LED cluster swaps but Idk what to do about the amber buttons on the AXCL-W09U radio and the LEDS on it. Anyone got any ideas on where to get blue swap outs. And if I swap my amber gauge cluster out with blue ones from LEDmods.com will it mess anything up like RMP or mileage if so how do I fix it? Need any and all help

Did you ever think about just buying a different radio? Almost all aftermarket radios run blue leds.

I really dont wanna drop the money into a new one if I can find some buttons someplace. I thought I saw one on youtube running all blue. Its the same radio as the Xb I guess.

Contact LEDMOD i've seen some LED swaps on the stock radio's maybe he can do yours and on that particular model. As for the LED swaps you do know that its not a plug and play thing but that it requires soldering for the cluster? Besides i'm surprised that its not blue being almost all alpine radios have blue buttons. It would be nice with everything lighted up blue.Is this the one you have?

Yup thats the one. yea I know about the soldering. I was lookin at it on LEDmod.com and was lookin at the instructions. Im gunna try it on the Heating and air right below the radio first to see how it turns out. Ive heard rumors that the clusters for the dash gauges mess up your mileage and RPM's is that true?

That is a negative. The mileage is stored on the board itself yes, but unless you somehow fry the board then dont worry about anything. The rpm is controlled by a servo motor. So unless you manage to damage either of the two, dont worry about it.

There have even been stories of people buying used gauges from lower mileage tC's from wrecked cars and throwing them on their cars before selling to make it seem like their cars have lower mileage....which is illegal lol.

My gauges and hvac work prefect. Cobaltbravo on here did mine. The only issue is getting the speedo lined up right from what I remember. It might be off 1 or 2 mph I think. So I dunno the in depth stuff but I have no issues at all. Mines are all blue in the hvac and white indicators for the ac button and defrost etc. Blue gauge numbers and white increments.

There's a lot of write ups on the internet but I wouldn't try it unless your good with a soldering gun.
