youd be better off getting the stock radio for a chevy

youd have to get the toyota radio harness then wire that up to the factory gm wiring...which i wouldnt do

if he really needs one and has no cash then go to wal mart and get one for about $100ish

yeah you COULD do it if you really wanted to, but you'd have to fabricate mounting brackets. Also yes you'd need the wiring for the toyota radio harness, and the GM wiring.

Sure anything's possible, but depends on how good you are with wiring and fabricating. You would save money, but I think was blazeplacid was saying is it really worth all that time?

you MIGHT be able to go to places like BestBuy (i know Circuit City never carried them) and buy a REVERSE Toyota harness (fits into the Toyota/Scion radios) and the Chevy side that plugs into your dad's truck... if you got those two harnesses you would just have to match up the colors...

ummm....mounting...is the Chevy stock radio a double-din? I can't remember, but I think a lot of them were 1.5 din's and you would need to cut the crap outta your dash to make it fit...not worth it...

it gets all complicated if the chevy has like the upgraded sound system with amps, extra speakers, and stuff

...in the end, it wouldn't be worth it.

depending on the year of the truck its possible if the truck is newer than 03 I believe you can make it work but if its older just go buy one it would be easier
