Anyone know how much the stock shift **** weighs?

Im looking at 2 different aftermarket shift *****, one weighs 1.5lbs and the other is 230g, so just over half a lb.
Which would be a better choice, and would the lighter one (230g) even be heavier than the stock ****?

 

the stock shift **** weighs about half a pound or around there...i think like 0.65 lbs or something close.

i personally bought a close to stock weight **** and then replaced it with a lighter one half the weight of the stock one and i dont "feel" any difference in shifting.

 

I've got about a 460g ****. I like the way it shifts, just feels smoother to me.

i got the Greddy weighted ****.. not sure of the weight but shifting is a lot smoother.

I like a heavier shift ****.

 

I have the Greddy counter weighted shift **** and I was a little bit heaver than the stock ****. I expected the Greddy to be a lot heaver than the stock ****, it is but not a lot heaver. I really don't think the weight makes that much of a difference as I was lead to believe. It feels nice, better than stock. I would say go for style/feel over weight.

the heavier the ****, the easier it is to go in and out of gears.

 

so is it that noticable of a difference if you go to a short shifter?

 

its more useful on a short shifter b/c the momentum from the weight of the **** makes up for the lack of leverage.
