Default Side curtain air bag panel gaps. Normal?

For the ones that have side curtain air bags do you have gaps in the rear panels. It looks like the panel is not seating right, looks the same on both sides. The car is brand new as of last week.

So the question is. Is this normal or am i just being a little **** about my car

Thanks in advance

wait till you put a subwoofer or two in the back. my sub from all the vibration every once in a while will pop that panel completely out of place.

yeah stick with the tape, im not sure if those panels have to come off the get to the rear suspension strut towers. but after I had my sways and springs done it was definitely more notice-able. Thats when i did the tape..... worked like a charm

Update:

According to the dealer the gap is normal, this coming from the same dealer that got grease on the B piller at the same time they looked at it.

Yeah that's pretty normal too. I swear, you'd think they'd be more careful.

Yeah I noticed mine when I looked in the rear view mirror and was like "WTF" and then figured it was because of the bags.

A little info some may not know, the '05 with no air bags rear pillars are just plastic while the '08 with bags are covered in material. Not sure if the 05 with bags have the material cuz I don't have one of those.lol I actually notice a lot of little things here and there that's different. Most of the stuff you can't see like under the seats and whatnot.

Ohh crud, I never knew what was behind that. Anyways, mine came down one day, so I drilled some holes in the plastic and ziptied it to the frame.

Hope I never get into an accident
