Some help with neon installation
Alright Im planning to put Underglow and some inside glow in my tC. I figure this would fall more under the Ice And Interior more then exterior. I was wondering If i could get some help.
Ive heard about the flowlighting. I really like it and the way it work, how well is this product? Reliable? Where would I be installing the Reciever box? Inside the car or under the hood? I was thinking about getting the splitters for it, do most Neon for internal lighting have that same plug? (Phoneline)? I am trying to power a decent amount of neon inside the car. If you guys could help me with some interior placement too that would be greatly aprpeciated.
Thanks

interriors standard places are in the footwells, common other places are in the air vents and cupholders, as for exterrior, mount and run wires as normal, but no, dont put the box in the engine bay, you dont want that getting melted. And as for brand, anything Oznium makes is relaible, bottom line
If you put the control box under the dash behind the glovebox there is a lot of room to work in there and a grommet through the firewall to feed your wires through also.then just add power source at the fuse box on other side and you are good to go in short.
Oznium Flowlighting is good to buy.........there are a few other kits out here as well but I do not know about them for reliability.....everyone around my area seems to have Oznium.......

also an easy way to power the neons is to go to pep boys autozone advanced or where ever and get this fuse that you can plug the power wire into and just put the fuse in an empty accessory port in your fuse box then just ground the ground to any good metal bolt..... But if you want the neons on a switch this is not the best way ha
Hm. So where should i power the neon??? Through the battery then then bring the wiring through the firewall and from there make all my neon outs? So get a distributer box behind the glove box and then have all my neon outs from there, but where should i wire the switch to? I need to get a line going from the dash with the box to the empty switch slots.
Input?

Yeah. I got that part. Im saying where do i power everything to. Is my underglow AND all my inside neon the the battery? No correct? If i wanted to use cathods inside, and normal neon outside.. What would i have to do.
your best bet is to tap into a wire as close to the battery as possible so your not feeding thru another circuit. make sure you throw a fuse holder on there with about a 15 fuse in it. the only tricky part is figuring out how you want your switches to work, i have a double throw switch from oznium. up is interriors only, center is off, and down is interrior and exterriors. if ya wanna do that ur gonna need some diodes tho....
i own a kit by Oznium-
Dont need to do the fuse thing.
When you run the wires to a switch made for a scion tC, the fuse will be right there behind the switch panel on the left.
Run both power and ground from the switch all the way to the battery.
You can use as small as 16 gauge wire if you want.
The entire kit draws almost no power, that's why it's possible to extend directly to the battery.
It's very easy.
My ECU module is behind the glove box zip tied to something.
I also use splitters on mine. and with lights in wheel wells.
