Default Sound deadening the whole interior!

I just took apart the interior of my tC to put down some sound deadening materials! My entire interior is bare metal right now! It was actually fairly easy to do! I plan on laying down a layer of Fat Mat (cheap version of dynomat) and then covering that with a few layers of e-dead v3 from elementaldesigns.com. E-dead v3 is basically an acrylic based paint that absorbs vibrations. I will defenetly take some pics and post them when I start the work tomorrow!

If any of you are curious about a cool cheap and awesome material... I did my whole car in RAAMmat, which is a site-sponsor here... and something I suggest is supporting the guys that support us.... I did my whole car with it and it's an insane difference....

Definately a must do.

I'm tempted. Did you pull the seats? Did you just do under the carpets, or in the doors, etc?

Oh, wow, I did EVERYTHING.... seats, doors, trunk, under the carpet...

It took two days of all day work to finish, but way worth it....

Somewhere in the ballpark of 250 or so, but it's not neccesary for the normal guy to go that far.... but 200 or so is a good ballpark figure for a WHOLE car.

Can't wait to here how it turns out. Been thinking about Fatmat myself. My friend used it on his integra and it worked pretty well.

You can also use some material called Dead Skin from Rockford Fosgate or Lightning Audio. It is awesome to work with and sticks like no other. I use it on all my cars.

Latex based paint

And an entire tC in the new SE^2 like I did it(120 sq. ft which is just a little overkill ) would be $150 + shipping.

Correct! I put acrylic when I ment latex! Anyways I ripped out everything seats, carpet and all! It only took about 2 hours to do, but that was only because of all the wires I have run to the trunk for my audio/vissual system back there. A few wires had to be cut and resoldered because they ran over the seat brackets and I could not get the back seats out until I cut them! I will post some pics later tonight! I hope this works out though it is kinda cold here in Utah! I am going to do it in the garage with the heater running to warm it up though!

So how much sq. ft. of Fatmat did you put down? How do you feel about its benefits.

I bought 2 50ft rolls! I only used about 5ft of the second roll though! I also did not cover every square inch with it, just the big areas!

I have not finished all of it yet with the painting. So I have no idea what the benifit is yet! But I have had my trunk done for some time now and can tell you that without the deadening in the trunk my subs don't sound near as good as they do now!
