Default speaker wiring switch up

bought new component speakers with an amp for them, do you need to rewire all the speakers to connect to the amp or will it hold up with the factory wiring...???

I left the factory wiring in the doors and side panels when I installed my components. I just ran new wire from the amp to the dash, then wire nutted to the factory wiring.

The wires are definitely smaller than I would put in if I were doing the system, but it's not worth the effort. I would only use larger wire for that application because it is easier to work with and more difficult to damage. They are sufficient for the current. You won't hear a sound difference.

i might do the wiring this winter; its just honestly a PITA to do trying to run the wires through the door into the interior of the car through that little section. i've done it on 2 other peoples' cars and it definately sucks trying to get it to slide through to the opposite side.
