Default Stereo cover

So here is my question. Can the stereo door be taken off and the stock stereo or any double din be moved out flush by re-drilling the brackets? I couldnt find any pics of that being done but i am sure its been done. My new stereo should be in soon and when the weather gets warmer I want to try that. If any one has seen that can they post a link or a pic? Thanks

I haven't seen anyone do that yet, but it shouldn't be too difficult. Not sure about redrilling the brackets, but spacers or extensions could work. You might also need to make a trim bezel for the HU to fit with the dash cleanly, but that shouldn't be too difficult. Go for it, and good luck!

Yea it can be done. I did it to mine temporarely. But then bought the correct dash kit and put the door back. I like having the door, helps keep your car safe from people who like to steal radios.

NO. You're not. I hate it too, only I think I wanna go single DIN and bring it out flush and put gauges in the lower half.
