oh, you know what, i bet its that cover that the tc has to go over your radio. We don't have it. I'm assuming that is what it is.

Yes you are correct and the tcover is a module that allows you to have an automatic
door which is very very slick.

I doubt it, but I've heard someone uses the stock radio, shave off face plate and use it to cover their high-end deck behind

Thread Revival...

I just got my Z1 in and installed yesterday. It is one awesome piece of equipment. I'll post pics later.

I installed the Z1 and the ipod controller. Soon i will be installing the bluetooth adapter, and the PAC steering wheel controls, and a rear monitor for my daughter.

Glad to hear that you got your Z1
and now that I have my Z1 for about few months, In comparison to my Eclipse AVN, I like the Nav functions on the Eclipse better and Eclipse is faster on re-routing. A much easier user friendly logical control for NAV. The pioneer sure is powerful
with all of it's possible features. It bugs me a lot to have to use the remote for volume control because i have the 5.1DTS decoder. 5.1 sound is awesome on the Pionneer.

In conclusion, both units has its + and -, it you want nav, go with Eclipse, if you want features, go with Pionner.

Just thought i would post up a few pics of the Z1 in my xA...

I know this is in the tC section, and i know this is a major thread revival, but i thought there might be some people interested in what it would look like in an xA.

i did it myself, and it was a scion double din dash kit. I had to cut it a little to get the kit to look flush, but i love the way it turned out.

that was my question too. We just custom some abs strips and glue them behind the dash
who makes the kit and do you remember the model number?

i know it was a scosche kit, but i don't remember the model number. it did take a little customizing for it to fit right. It was just the generic toyotal double din kit.

Model number for the dash kit is 95-8202 and it is made by Metra. You can pick one up at any Circuit City for sure.

just be careful. the z1 is an all in 1 kit so if you use a metra kit you will be attaching a 2k radio to some plastic holder... it will make it eaiser to pull right out of the car. that was how my last unit got rocked. im happy with the stock metal holders and some custome pieces...

maybe the xb and xa have a different mount, but the tc one sure was cheap

for the xa, the metra thing is just to fill the gaps on the sides. It mounts with metal mounts.

Tates Creek Road, huh? My parents have a house right around Tates Creek and Man O War, over in Waterford, and I live downtown and go to UK. Nice to see another Lexingtonian on here!
