Just to weigh in. It's not loud, it's not low. It's noticeable.

When installed right, it's a fine sub. It comes with a piece of thick foam I cut in half and stuck on each side of the box to slightly lift the false floor off it.

For whoever said ED was "slow"...I ordered my stealth box (custom made to order) yesterday and got the tracking number today..it's being delivered tomorrow. That's fast as HELL. I'm psyched!

I believe the Pioneer and Sony shallow mount 10" subs fit (may need some slight modification). But the box was built for the ED sq10 so I stuck with that sub.

It'd be close. The biggest thing with that box is the sides of the box are part of the mounting surface for the sub. If anything gets bigger, you get an air leak.

The mounting depth is 3" for the ED SQ10 so if the JL is that or less, you should be fine.

Hey..I did some research out of curiosity and the JL thin sub (TW5) is a 13.5" diameter sub. That's way too large for the ED stealth box. The ED box will only take a 10" sub. However, the mounting depth is only 2.5" which is pretty badass for other applications.

Clarion makes a 10" shallow mount sub...3" mounting depth. SFW1051 is the model.

I think it's great..I absolutely love it. I listen to rock mostly and it keeps up with the fastest paced songs. When I'm feeling extra ghetto and flip on some rap I am also amazed at how deep this sub/box is able to hit. All around it's awesome. Plus I love the look on my friends' faces when I had them listen to the system then took them to the rear hatch area and opened it up and all they saw was an empty cargo area w/ NO signs of a system.

I like the SQ10........I listento rock as well and it does a good job filling in on the songs low end needs........I am using 250w to it and unless I turn up the deck bass level it has no clipping......

My mids are way too much though and I need a bigger sub in the future......I did the NINe.5 and am running a front and rear stage with 6000s and they overpower the sub.......great mid bassout of them though.........everyone that sits in my car trips on how well it sounds.......but I think I need more bass........to even it out a bit........but it is a good little sub.
