TC DVD Indash wiring HELP!! :(
Guys help!!
i need a write up on how to wire a dvd indash for the tc.. i tried to use the one on here but i dont get it.. i have wired systems before but i cant seem to understand the stock wires.. do you guys have a diagram or a picture indication which wire is which?
please help..
I cant help you with the wiring diagram but incase you didnt know. If you wanna still have the screen play the dvd while driving, have a switch installed, wire it to the clutch, or just to the cig. lighter
heres the basic info on what to do
- There should be 2 wire harness with the radio ....one has about 15 wires ( yellow,black,red,2blue,white2grey ...etc) and than a seperate one with only a few ( yellow, and then usually like green and purple, as well as black ) is this correct ?? ...if so you wanna wire up the one with alot of wires the same way you would a car stereo and the other one ....connect the power(yellow) to the same yellow wire on the big harness ...the wire that says "speed sensor" ..connect that to the black one on the same small harness ...ground those ones (black and speed) to a ground ...aka a bolt on the metal frame of the stereo
- what head unit is it

It's different for each headunit, Jensen (and Alipine I think) require you to ground, then unground, then ground again, it all depends on the headunit! Which we have to know in order to help you!
... need more details ...

well the unit is a jensen flip out one...forgot the version number but yeah i just went to frys and bought a wire harness... i need some help installing the parking wire because it still wont play any dvds.. so yeah i got the harness and from there it was uphill...except for the parking wire issue...well let me know guys what i can do...is there anyway to bypass it?
You're going to have to run the pink wire to that switch, and then run a grounded wire to that switch, when the blue screen comes up that asks you to engage the parking brake sequence, turn the switch on, switch off, and switch on, then you will be good to go. The green wire I think (Dont quote me on it) is the one that you wire to the reverse gear or the reverse light

i install for a living, the jensens are a bit tricky. u have to make sure brake is applied (grd from switch) then release the brake or switch for 1 second then reapply brake (grd from switch) and the video should kick on after about a 5 second delay any kind of toggle switch will work i had to put in 3 or so like that and if u do it to fast, it wont respond so make sure u delay about a second or 2 hope this helps
