tC HID installation problem
Hi all, I recently purchased a HID plug-and-play kit from ebay, and I was trying to install it yesterday, unfortunately, the kit doesn't work. So I switched the kit to my Accord with the same 9006 and it lit up flawlessly, the ballasts and bulbs are in working condition. Does anyone having this kinda problem? What I noticed was, my Accord has a thicker harness wire, but the tC has a real skinny one, is that the problem? Also, I plugged the oem 9006 light bulb back to tC again, and it just light up. I really have no idea, please help...
Well your prob going to get riped off but take it to any local audio shop.... Try to tell them that your not looking to spend more than 20 bucks for the installation... Its not too hard and im going to tell you the truth if it is too hard its not a plug and play so you should return it... I payed 60 bucks for them to install mine and I was stading next to the guy when he did it and all he did was plug the cables together and lay the balast's down in a place were they looked like they wouldnt move, lol he didnt even strap them down or anything... I got super riped off and then I look att he guy and I was like dude im paying you 60 bucks for that crap... Well long story short, I got ripped off and I could have done it miself....
Don't insist the audio shop do the install for $20, they will either laugh at you or do a very shoddy job. Most shops run $60 an hour for unusual work like this.
Only way you'll get a good install for that cheap price is if you have a buddy that knows his cars and does side jobs.
Back on subject:
The best way is to wire up your own power harness for the HIDs. Use a relay to draw power straight from the battery, and trigger the relay using the car's wire that turns on the factory headlights. Use a little larger gauge wire like 14 ga to make sure theres adequate power at initial startup.

I'm sure you've seen all the posts about people burning out their wiring harnesses because they used plug n play headlights, or just hyper white bulbs. Sure they will work for awhile but do you really wanna take the chance of frying the harness and having to pay the dealership hundreds $$ to fix it?
Your call though, faster or safer
