If done properly, yes, It'll sound damn good.....but you'd want to use the smaller sub(s) in a sealed box with a LPF ~80Hz and HPF ~40Hz.....then you'd want the bigger sub(s) in a low tuned ported box with ~40Hz LPF....

sam_j, arent you from houston?
to tell you the truth i should have saved money and bought a w6... moves just as much air, cost less. (coulda used the extra 100 to invest in something else)
but either way JL is top of the line

I have 2 10w6v2 on a custom fiberglass box. I use the passenger side foam as a mold to make sure the sub won't tilt over. It's powered by an Eclipse Competition class, Class D MONO block. I have added the woofer grills on them since my wife
throw the luggage into the trunk and don't want any damage to the subs. The end result is very nice, loud bass and very practical without taking up the whole trunk.

that looks nice. i wish could do something like that, but the 13w7 needs so much airspace.

Can't you raise the height of the box to gain more air space ??, granted you may need to re-design the box a bit to avoid tipping over.

well doing what you really want cost $$$ unless you are really good at doing fiberglass work then you can save some money.
