I had Eclipse AVN2454 in my tC first and now upgraded to Pioneer AVIC-Z1, double din has always been my choice

I had to do the same with the mounts but trust me, with the Double Din, you will be more happy. I have the Kenwood DDX019 in mine. Love it

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I keep thinking a flip-out monitor will eventually break because of the wear & tear.

not to steal the thread or anything...
Do any of you guys who have a double din player have the tCover? that motor on the cover to go up/down with the car on/off? I was planing on getting the Pioneer z2 when that comes out here in a few weeks but i was wondering if i could buy and use the tCover.

Reason i want the tcover is for one more "extra" safety on my radio.

I wouldn't see a problem with the tCover and a double-din like the Z2. I have a D3 and I'm thinking of doing the tCover as well, from pics of installs nothing looks like it would interfere, because the stock radio basically has the same dimensions as the DD's.

I couldn't do the tCover, as I would have to take the USB cord out of the front of my unit every time I turn the car off, and well, not everywhere I park is a threat from thiefs.
