Default those of you that has the Ed sq10 setup.

what you guys do to stop the rattling that makes in the back.
it only does it when its cover with the mat (the hard cover not the optional cargo mat)

you basically need to cut out holes over the sub so that it has room to move up...

i personally made a custom cover out of plywood and carpeted it.

I have some spacer strips that sit on top of the sub, they lift the floor on that side just slightly, like 1/4 of an inch.

Glad I read this. I would have thought with it being design specific to the TC they would have taken that into account.

My temporary solution was to put a t-shirt in the corner of the trunk to keep the cover open. I like your idea, Cabana! What material did you use and did you glue it onto the sub?

the shop that installed my stereo put them in. They are just two foam strips that are stuck to the box, one on each side of the sub. I'll take a picture later today.

Hmmm... sounds like maybe some foam weather stripping from home depot? Pix would be great, thanks!

Apparently I had forgotten what they looked like, here is a pic...they're big foam pads and they used some sticky velcro strips to hold them in place. Not the most beautiful solution, but nobody is going to see them anyway.

Looks about 1/3 inch or 1/2 inch?

yeah, they're not very thick, but just enough to let the air flow I guess, the floor doesn't move or make noise

Yup, looks & sounds good, cept for the cover vibrating at higher volumes, which the foam pieces or a t-shirt would fix.

I have an Alpine MRP-M450 powering mine. It is 1x220 at 4 ohms and hits plenty hard for me. Definitely the best feature of the sub is that it doesn't take up any trunk space.

Cabana, so have you had other sub setups in your tC or is the SQ10 box your first?

I am trying to decide if I want to go with a homemade box with 2 -SQ10s, a premade SQ10 box, or homemade box with one of the Pioneer 12" thin subs.

I have the MRP-350 so it would sound similar to what you are running.

i have a kicker comp CVT in my eD stealth box after blowing my original sQ10( i would of gotten the sq10 fixed, however they told me it was an EXTRA $25 on top of the refurb fee because I didnt have their original box.so for that price off ebay plus a few dollars I bought a far superior sub) .. the sq10 cant take too much power. I have a JBL bp600.1 pushing the comp, and it hits pretty damned hard. there are a few better choices for subs than the sq10 that will fit your shallow design.

Id order it unloaded if it was me, and buy your own 10.
