Default two new upgrades for my tC!

I recently just added two new upgrades to my tC, and neither fit into a single catagory so general sounded best LOL

First thing, I bought a Eclipse 5435 for $925 flat (new-opened box) installed it while at a car show / meet at capital toyota (san jose, ca) and I love it so much! everything plugged in like factory, only thing I had to do was drill 3 holes in each bracket (found a guide for single din and felt that 2 holes wasnt going to be enough), but steering wheel controls worked right out of the box, no config needed.

Second thing (which is a HUGE thanks to Gabe!) is a new exhaust, which by the way doesnt sound like "rice" at all, and sounds pretty bad a**! to be honest i dont care if it improved HP at all..... I love the fact of how it sounds! If anyone wants a new exhaust for their scion, gabe is the one to goto (precision muffler in milpitas, ca) if you are remotely close to his shop (I drove about 80 miles), do it! I hear he also has TIEN lowering springs..... lol

planned upgrades soon are..... LED Swaps (thanks to trung), and Sirius....

It was actually an ebay auction, and he lived close to my parents so when I drove up to see them, I picked it up from him directly.

btw here is a link, it will make it easy to search for a eclipse deck on ebay that will fit in our scions. http://tinyurl.com/eoh2c

Does the Eclipse 5435 still give you the ability to hook up your ipod if you already have the upgraded ipod CD player from the dealership. Also, can you still use your steering wheel controls in conjunction with the 5435? I ask because I have the 06 tC with Pioneer ipod/CD player set-up

The ipod will not work with it, well not without the eclipse ipod adaptor (which I vant verify that will work with the 5435, being that I dont own the adapter) but I can verify that the steering wheel controls do work perfectly. The other thing to watch out for on the tC is the mounting brackets. I will make a write-up on the drilling of the brackets as a modification of another guide on the forums.

well you started the thread such that it belonged in the ice & interior forum as well as the drivetrain & power forum but since everyone seems to want to talk about the eclipse, ice & interior it is.
