Use High Output feature on an AMP or just do a Line Out??
My boss's sub turned me on, now I want an amp.
Stock head unit i really wanna keep. Can i use the High output on the amp, that thing that connects to the 4 rear wires.
OR do I go and do a line out conversion deally that makes a Pre-Out behind the receiver? We got a place that sells em for $25.
2006 Scion tC.
Now That I am graduating college tomorrow, i will be looking for a new automotive project

the line out would yield better results but would cost more, and take more time, up to you on that, but I would recommend the RCA conversion... cant find a link but it is from the factory harness.
Ok after some searching, I found it:

EDIT: URL was too long, shortened the link.

oh yea thanks, I have seen that from another thread.
Its not an amp that will power the whole car. it is ONLY 1 amplified Sub woofer. So will the RCA still be recommended even in that case?

i second the RCAs. reason being if you choose to upgrade later to a diffrent amp without speaker level inputs, or even a deck with a subpreamp out, you wont have to worry about rerunning the RCAs again. kinda goes with that whole "if you do it right the first time, you dont have to do it again"
lmao, at everyones clever little slogan at the end of there post.
Thanks guys, I will pick up a Line Out Dealy on Monday. The guy ordered it for me just incase I want it.
