Alright guys so I'm going to be building a custom box for some new subs. I am looking to upgrade my two 10in type rs. I'm definitely going JL and 12s. What do you guys think of the w6 vs the w3, I can get the w3s a lot cheaper and have heard them and they hit hard, I've heard w6s as well and they are great too. Just wondering if it is worth the extra $ for the w6s. I listen to every kind of music mostly rap though if that makes a huge difference. I know either way they are gonna pound with two 12s in a TC with a too spec box and the right amps (I'm thinking two 500/1s). Just wondering if its worth the extra cash

buy a single 10" w7 and itll blow away a pair of w6's

 

Buy a 12w7 and that is all you need. I have heard them all, instead of spending money and upgrading from w3, to w6 and then feeling like is not enough and spending the money upgrading to w7. So mind as well, one shot get the best and get an amp that can power that w7. Trust me man, you don't want to keep on selling and buying just to upgrade to do it right.

I have 2 W3v3...10s.

I prefer SQ over SPL, but mine hit loud and hard! They're powered by a JL J21000.1 amp. I love it!

A w7 would hit hard as hell, but you need a HUGE box to make it sound right. If you don't use your trunk, try the w7. If you do, get the w3s or w6s.
