I read that a lot of people have problems with the dome light dimming...
Mine doesn't dim. It's always bright, but it only works half the time.

I bought the dome lights from superbrightleds...I've had them for over a year. I always leave them on "door." They used to turn on automatically when I shut my car off, but for the past few months they don't always work. Half the time they work. The half they don't. This is for both the front and the rear.

I haven't done too much wiring. Just underdash LEDs that hooked up to my cigarette lighter.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Depends on what type of led's you have in there swap it out with a regular oem blb and if the problem goes away that means your led is the problem. I had leds in my dome light for several months now and haven't had any problems.

 

I don't think it's the LEDs because its both the front and the rear. Either they both work or they both don't.

 

anyone know what the bulb number is for the dome light in the back???

 

I've install many custom LED dome lights on the tC and never had that problem...

 

You know... I have been having a problem like this too... I just noticed it over the weekend. Sometimes my back light will work, other times it won't. I leave it on door, and rarely look at it, but over the weekend I needed to see back there and it wouldn't work when I switched it to "on". After driving a little bit, it was working. I was working out of my car, and it would do this all night. Sometimes it would work, other times not. No real reason, no real sequence, nothing. The only thing I can think of is it might be the bulb. It's a superbrightleds red led. I have them in all interior lights. Two white in the map lights, and red in the door lights. I don't know what's going on, but it'd sure be good to get it fixed.
