What is this part???
I brought my car into Scion to have some work done on it and when I got it back my after market radio that I installed wasn't working. So I opened everything up and found this one wire/part not connected to anything and have no idea what it is or what it's for. Someone, anyone, please help. BTW it says on it 14V 80mA.

The wires hooked up to this run with all the wires from the A/C Control Assembly, and clips in right behind it:

And if anyone knows...could this part being loose be introducing the noise in my radio that I have right now???

It's not for the antenna. The radio hadn't been working because the loosed one of the wires (remote wire) that was cause the amps not to turn on. So the radio works fine, except for the damn alternator hum I can't get rid of. So what ever this part is does have anything to do with the radio. I guess I'll just end up wrapping it in electrical tape until I can figure out what it is; just to make sure it doesn't short anything out somehow.
And yeah I know there is a lot of wires...can't really do anything about that though.

can you get a pic a little farther back to get focused on it? for the alternator whine/hum, check your ground on your amp and make sure its sanded down good to bare metal. that got rid of mine and the most of everyones on here.
Getting rid of the hum has been the biggest problem for me. I've tried reground everything, checking resistance with a VOM, GLI, rerouting wires, line filter for the radio, and since I've pulled out the radio to fix Scion's mess up now the is interference when ever I hit a button (or the screen) on the HU (AVIC-Z2).
It's really turning into a weekend project now.
it's hard to tell, pic is a little blurry. If the end of the plug (or whatever it is) has small notch type things on it, it might be that plug. I guess it would be easy to rule that out if you look at the end of it and it has the contacts for a bulb. good luck...
looks like the cubby light..........jsut burnt badly.....but hard to tell fromt he picture.
I have some hum in my system too......when I am driving withthe volume off I get it in the speakers jsut a bit......I gave up on gettign rid of it.....LOL.
