ok.. i have an 08 tc. i bougth it 2 months ago . when i bought the tc. i bought the obx shift **** from the dealer

and they installed it. but u can see how there is a huge gap between the shift **** and the boot.

eveyone else's fit perfectly on the forum......

what is wrong with the shift ****??

can i get it replaced at the dealer for free?[/img]

Bring pictures of others on the forum and bring it back to the dealer and tell them that they installed it wrong. They will fix it for free as long as you dont mess with it or try and fix it yourself.

Looks like they did not screw the brass fitted ring all the way into the head and it is not all the way down.

yea, i had the same problem as you when i first got the OBX shift ****. all i did was unscrew the shift **** and then screwed it back on, making sure it was it was going on the threads smoothly. it eventually got hard to screw on when it was in a similar position as yours, all i did was put a little more elbow grease into it and now my shift **** sits flush with the shift boot. hope this helps!

yes it is screwed down all the way.. i cant screw down anymore...i tired as hard as i coud but didnt wokr.............stock shift **** fits perfectly....

i unscrewed and screwed it back on multiple times but always got the same result....

wat shoudl i do?

just go to the dealer. they installed it so they should fix it.

. i took it to the dealer but they just put this thing on the shift **** below that round thing which made the boot higher but when i had to reverse it felt like i was moving the whole boot. so i fixed it back..

did you just notice that it looks like crap? why didnt you take care of it when you bought it from the dealer? i wouldnt have driven it off the lot if they half a$$ed which obviously they did...

well i thgouth all the obx shift ***** looked like mine but..

when i joined the foruma nd saw the shift *****....i figured out that someothign was wrogn wiht my sifht ****...

and i was too excited when i bought the car..
